

Wild Blue Phlox is a member of the Polemoniaceae Family. There are about 300 members of this family in North America. Most of these 300 species are found in the western states and only the Wild Blue Phlox can be found in Scott County. Wild Blue Phlox grows in rich wooded areas and usually can be found growing in large colonies. The 1" (2.5 cm) blue flowers emerge in mid-April.
